Lacrima di Morro is the grape, so called for the tears (lacrima in Italian) that appear when the grape is ready for picking. This ancient grape is quite rare for a red, with ample fragrant aromatics. Darker in hue, with smoldering wild plum, fleshy boysenberry, ample violet. Tannins are long and moderately sticky, propping up this spellbinding red. Absolutely worth seeking out for adventuresome drinkers.
